These custom configured Multi-point Stainless Steel Liquid Level Float Switch models are available in many materials and configurations and can contain as many float actuation points as the application and switch design may allow (normally up to five).  These rugged units can be mounted within any vessel, utilizing standard mounting options, or customized to the specific application. These rugged units can be mounted within any vessel, utilizing either male pipe threads, pipe plugs, flanges or bulkhead fittings. The length of each switch, as well as the location of each of the floats, may be established by the designer. For difficult installations, stems can be bent to bypass obstructions within the vessel. Slosh shields are also available for turbulent conditions. Temperature sensors can be incorporated into these models.

Do-It-Yourself Multi-Point Liquid Level Switch Kits

These kits provide the user with the opportunity to optimize their own multi-point liquid level switches and fabricate them in the field from the kit components. The basic kits are furnished with two floats and a 2" pipe plug, with a maximum stem length of 36" (914.4 mm). Users who require a 3rd or 4th level can purchase adder kits to do so.  Switch Kits are also available with a bent stem (90 degree angle).

Madison supplies a basic controller with the M3784 that will satisfy a broad range of applications. Because the conductivity varies widely among liquids, the controller is adjustable for sensitivity in different liquids. Consult factory for details on specific liquids.

While a conductivity switch and a float-type switch provide the same functions, the advantage of no moving parts is that the conductivity switch can be used in several environments that would cause a float to stick or to not operate at all.
